Abstract
Law No.27.551, that reformed the National Civil and Commercial Code (NCCC), authorizes the clause for adjusting the price of the real estate location in contracts that are celebrated as of July 1st, 2020, recognizing a practice that, with some disguise, was usual to use in this kind of contracts, where the dollar as the rental price is a variant. This new normative reality must be combined with other provisions of the NCCC, especially those relating to the obligation to give foreign currency and the option in favor of the tenant to be released in legal tender (article 765). All this, with the scope and limits according to a parity structure, by adhesion or consumer framework that the NCCC proposes and the residential or non-residential destination of the location that the reform law distinguishes.
