Abstract
Background: Children are most vulnerable to malnutrition in developing countries because of low dietary intake, lack of appropriate care and inequitable distribution of food within the household. Both moderate and severe acute malnutrition have serious consequences including increased morbidity and mortality. Methods: Community-based cross-sectional study design was used to assess 681 children. Validated questionnaires from previous study were used to collect the data. Data were entered in to Epi-data version 3.02 and were exported to SPSS version 21.0.
