Abstract
The information about the number, density, the largest concentration places, and the status of species of genera Aythya and Merqus in the South part of the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea presented in the paper. It was revealed that 4 species of Aythya and 3 species of Merqus live in Azerbaijan.
