Abstract
What are the basic units of the Mbakiyu Songo language structure? Are they relevant? How do they operate to respond to the social function of communication between its speakers? The description of the different segmental phonemes, the relevant features that distinguish them, their various combinations and their distributions including syllabation constitute our central interest in this study. Thus, we have, in this article, made a brief inventory of the distinctive phonic elements of messages in this language.
