Abstract
A study was conducted in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana with the objective of studying the constraints perceived by thecotton growers, with a sample size of 120 respondents. In this study, respondents were asked to rank their preferences which they perceivedmore by using Garrett Ranking Method. The constraints were categorized into socio-economic, Infrastructural and marketing constraints.The major socio-economic constraints felt by the most of the respondents include, the prices received for the produce, high input cost,shortage of labour during peak period were ranked I, II and III, respectively and infrastructural constraints of sample farmers in cottoncultivation of the study area were lack of irrigation facilities ranked-I in case of almost all farm size groups under study area.
