Abstract
The growing wave of migrants, which for times related to political and economic contexts has manifested itself in South American countries, demands the coordination of policies between regions, countries and governments to turn the phenomenon of migration into an increasingly orderly process. The objective is the analysis of the evolution of the migratory process in Ecuador until arriving to evaluate its current condition. The methods of analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction were applied; finding that the evolution of the migration process in Ecuador, is framed in essential issues such as its background, figures and the challenge that has been presented as a host country.
