Abstract
Body expression is a way of communication typical of each human being, it is accompanied by gestures, facial expressions, postures which represent feelings, emotions, thoughts and ideas. All these manifestations are permanently reflected and are associated with gross motor development, in which harmony and movement control dominates, achieving adequate motor synchronization and coordination. From this perspective, the study aimed to describe the relationship of body expression in gross motor development of 3-year-old children. Being a qualitative approach research, the information was collected through the application of an observation guide with skills related to body expression and gross motor skills, aimed at 32 3-year-old children.
