Abstract
The disease of cancer at a global and national level negatively influences the lives of patients as well as their families, in most cases, the concern and care are for the patient. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to understand the experiences of the quality of life that parents with children with oncological diseases build. Emphasizing the specific objectives that are detailed in characterizing the factors that influenced; the biological, psychological, and social dimensions and identifying the hierarchy of basic needs of the parents. For which the qualitative methodology was used with the respective unit of analysis of the experiences of the parents. The phenomenological study was based on the collection of data through the semi-structured interview with eight external and internal parents of the cancer hospital, highlighting the collection of data from axial coding.
