Abstract
This research addresses the environmental problems identified in the educational context, related to the inadequate disposal of school solid waste, attributed to the lack of environmental awareness of the students, for which the general objective was to create pedagogical strategies for the promotion of environmental responsibility through recycling with students who were just beginning their studies at the high school level with an emphasis on agroecology. In addition, it was based on the postulates of sociocultural constructivism theory, theory of meaningful learning where the student was involved as an active subject in the construction of his own knowledge about the different problems that arise in his daily life.
