Abstract
Technological advances in all scopes require individuals to be technologically literate. No less important is the educational sector, in which teacher training and education on this subject still represents a challenge within higher education institutions. The objective of this communication is to identify the level of mastery that higher education teachers have regarding digital competence: use and technological literacy in a thematic center of a university in Western Mexico. A quantitative methodology was used with a non-experimental, descriptive, and cross-sectional design.The survey technique was used through a questionnaire with a sample of 75 teachers, and the data analysis was carried out through descriptive statistics. The outcomes disclose that teachers have high levels of digital literacy in areas such as: knowledge and use of peripheral components, web management and its basic tools, data storage in the cloud and the use of...
