Abstract
There is a growing interest today in generating favorable organizational environments. Among the emerging constructs is the emotional salary, understood as the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of the work environment that generates motivation and labour welfare; however, the construct has been examined from different approaches and contexts, so it is necessary to use a scientific approach to explain the latent variable. The objective of this paper is to identify the conceptual elements of the philosophical perspectives of knowledge for the study of emotional salary. A bibliographic review was made through a macro search that allowed the identification of documents related to the research topic from primary and secondary sources. It is shown that the construct can be approached from a constructivist and neo-positivist perspective since it emphasizes empirical verification and logical analysis of language as the basis of knowledge.
