Abstract
This essay deals with the educational processes of indigenous schooling in Paraíba and their contributions to the ethnic strengthening of the Potiguara/PB people. In addition, it discusses the state Guidelines for Indigenous School Education, as well as discusses the processes of struggle, resistance and popular organization of indigenous teachers, for a dignified, quality and intercultural education. This is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach, using authors such as Santos (2004), Escobar (2005), Quijano (2010) and Silva (2010), as well as documents and legislation that broaden the debates, encompassing issues such as Indigenous School Education, the specificities of their curricula and the particularities of pedagogical practices.
