Abstract
the global system of value transaction at the margin of the financial system, instituted by crypt currencies, has opened new possibilities to be explored by criminals to operate money laundering with reduced detection risk. In this sense, this study aims to analyze this modality of "currency", the real possibilities of incidence as a crime of money laundering, the difficulties of framing them in the traditional measures to prevent the crime of money laundering, the evolution of the internationals on this matter, as well as the regulatory proposals and guidelines for compliance for the companies that operate them.
