Abstract
As handicrafts represent a significant part of our cultural heritage, it is crucial to preserve and pass them down to future generations. In today's age, scientific and technological advancements, as well as changes in communication styles, can alter cultural heritage by introducing new forms, while some elements of cultural heritage may be forgotten or lost over time. This study provides information on bone comb making, a traditional Turkish handicraft with significant historical importance in Çayören village of Bolu province's Gerede district. The current state and significance of bone combs are also discussed. The study employed semi-structured interviews, conducted face-to-face in Çayören village on May 22, 2023. The study's data sources were interviews with bone comb masters and individuals knowledgeable in this craft.
