Abstract
In this brief scenario analysis, the announcement of the Saudi Vision 2030 will be the starting point for a reflection on the situation of the Arab migrant workers in the GCC, the importance of these workers’ remittances to their countries of origin, the impact the nationalization policies of the Gulf workforce can have on the Arab expatriate community in the region and the possibility of reversing the trend of substituting Arab for Asian labour in the GCC.
