Abstract
Child abuse is a global problem that has lifelong effects on the physical, mental health, development and well-being of both the child and society in general. Child abuse are the behaviors that an adult applies to a child at a certain time and that negatively affects the growth and development of the child. There are abusive behaviors grouped as physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect according to the way of application. Physical abuse is the easiest type of abuse to recognize and define in terms of making the findings easier to see. Its prevalence and negative effects on the child are known. On the other hand, there is an attitude towards accepting the corporal punishment that physically abuses the child as a method of discipline.
