Abstract
Water crisis is a global concern increasing day by day. Rajasthan is a state with a large arid and semi-arid region. Water scarcity is a bigproblem in this arid and semi-arid region of western Rajasthan. The problem become worse with climate change conditions. To mitigate thisproblem water budgeting is the tool for awareness among people regarding water conservation. This paper is based on water budgetingconducted in three villages (Bhadana, Achhotai, and Inanna) of Nagaur district in western Rajasthan. It is found that water deficit inBhadana, Achhotai, and Inanna is -537.75 crore liter, -20.04 crore liter, -537.65 crore liters respectively. Water table in these villages goesdeep down to 380 feet, 450 feet, and 600 feet in Bhadana, Achhotai and Inanna respectively.
