Abstract
The current study examines and compares the optimization algorithms inspired from nature, such as genetic, particle swarm, and ant colony, and also the Tabu search. Bio-inspired optimization algorithms according to their adjustable and applied parameters could have a semi-stochastic and semi-certain nature. These algorithms are created based on the movement and the tendency towards optimization inspired by the nature’s laws; like mutation in genetic algorithm, movement towards the best particle in particle swarm algorithm, and probability functions that are dependant to the pheromone cost and amount parameters in ant colony algorithm. While Tabu search algorithm starts with an initial value and in each algorithm replication a neighboring structure is defined for the current configuration. Experiments were conducted on a sample problem and the results and their application characteristics were stated. Furthermore, the adjustment of p...
