Abstract
In many places all around the world the most dangerous natural threats for structures are earthquakes. Endurance time method is a new method for performance based earthquake analysis and design of structures. In this paper three reinforced concrete structures are analyzed by endurance time method. Drift of stories and shear force in elements as damage indices are studied in this article. The damage indices are monitored up to the collapse level or other performance limit that defines the endurance limit point for the structures. Sap 2000 is used for analyzing the structure. Afterward the structures are subjected to scale accelerograms of Tabas and Naghan earthquakes, and the results are compared. This way endurance time method is evaluated as a seismic analysis method, and its benefits are denoted.
