International Profile Address (IPA)

International Profile Address (IPA) is a permanent address assigned to an online profile. IPA is a modern fixed international profile address and auto-detects any possible changes in the online profile address and auto-adjusts itself to the profile new address, or only loads profile basic version and its abstracted skills if the profile went offline or removed, extending the profile and articles life time.

IPA Syntax Structure:

An IPA consisted of two parts, zone name separated by an slash from 11 digit IPA number: IPA.zone/11 digits. IPA is 22 length including zone name as following example: IPA.zone/23633624786:

According to the International Profile standard, profile holder should explicitly display IPA in the described format on online published articles. IPA cannot be any arbitrary number. It is self-verifiable number according to ASI-V3 algorithm. To check the validity of an IPA, an IPA validator portal is used.

History of Development of IPA:

Uniform Resource Locator (URL) invented in 1989 in Switzerland. Its drawback is that when URL of a profile website changes or goes offline, the reader cannot access the profile. The publisher should notify readers/authors about the new profile address. International profile Address (IPA) was introduced on 2014 by Advanced Science Index (ASI) in Germany as a permanent address of a profile fixed during its lifetime and after that by extending its lifetime. The IPA keeps a profile basic version and its article abstracts on a separate server. If the profile address is changed IPA servers auto-detect it and auto-adjust itself to the new address. The publisher does not need to notify a new profile address, as the author can still access the profile via the IPA address. In case the profile went offline IPA loads only the basic profile version and its abstract article temporarily allowing the reader to read and the author still submit paper to the profile.
